From New York to Los Angeles, from Washington D.C. to Boston, the Moroccan American community keeps its roots alive thousands of miles from home. MARoco was created for this community.
New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Boston · Young, qualified, and growing diaspora
Unlike the older, more concentrated Moroccan communities of France or Belgium, the Moroccan American diaspora is younger and more spread out, often centered around university cities and major metropolitan hubs. What unites this community isn't proximity, but a shared determination to keep Moroccan identity alive in a country where it isn't always visible, through food, language, football, and increasingly, through the clothes people choose to wear.
Our collections are built around symbols recognized by the entire diaspora: the Atlas lion, the national colors, and references to the history of Moroccan football, a sport that unites generations during major tournaments. The MAR212 program gives every Moroccan American a place within a global community that knows no borders.
